General Workshops
|
South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services implemented changes that allow providers to submit claim-level adjustments for paid Medicaid claims. This detail-level process gives providers the capability of submitting adjustments directly to South Carolina Medicaid. To register online, click here.

Medicaid Basics offers an overview of South Carolina Medicaid that includes specific information about eligibility, claim filing options, the remittance package, Third-Party Liability, and adjustments. To register online, click here.

South Carolina Medicaid offers Comprehensive Web Tool training for providers who have not yet had the chance to attend or who would like a refresher course. To register online, click here.

| The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will offer workshops to assist providers with their third-party liability responsibilities. The training will include an in-depth overview of TPL including reporting responsibilities, claim adjudication and resolution issues, and other resource information. Nursing Facilities providers and Pharmacy providers who do not also render Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services will not benefit from these sessions.

Program-Specific Workshops

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is offering workshops in Columbia to Medicaid-enrolled Hospital Services billing staff during the months of September, October, and November 2008. These workshops will provide an overview of Hospital Services, including information on policies and procedures, billing instructions, billing codes, administrative services, remittance advices, and Edit Correction Forms. The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) recently held workshops for Medicaid-enrolled Ambulance providers. This workshops provided policy updates on Non-Emergency Ambulance and Brokered transportation services, as well as information about billing on the CMS 1500 Claim Form.

- Hospice/Nursing Facilities and ICF/MR

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is offering Medicaid reimbursement training for providers of hospice services, nursing facility services and Intermediate Care Facilities for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR). This training is recommended for providers of nursing facility services and ICF/MR, but it is required for providers of hospice services. Forms. To register online, click here.
