Electronic Remittance Package

Beginning November 15, 2009, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) began offering the ability to view remittance packages electronically. General Workshops  

  • Claim-Level Adjustments

South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services implemented changes that allow providers to submit claim-level adjustments for paid Medicaid claims.  This detail-level process gives providers the capability of submitting adjustments directly to South Carolina Medicaid. To register online, click here.

  • Medicaid Basics

Medicaid Basics offers an overview of South Carolina Medicaid that includes specific information about eligibility, claim filing options, the remittance package, Third-Party Liability, and adjustments. To register online, click here.

 

 

 

 

  • South Carolina Medicaid Web-based Claims Submission Tool

South Carolina Medicaid offers Comprehensive Web Tool training for providers who have not yet had the chance to attend or who would like a refresher course.  To register online, click here.

 

  • Third-Party Liability (TPL)
The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will offer workshops to assist providers with their third-party liability responsibilities. The training will include an in-depth overview of TPL including reporting responsibilities, claim adjudication and resolution issues, and other resource information. Nursing Facilities providers and Pharmacy providers who do not also render Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services will not benefit from these sessions.

Program-Specific Workshops 

 

Training sessions for 2010

  • Community Long Term Care (CLTC)

 

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is offering workshops for all CLTC providers in March. This training will demonstrate how referrals and authorizations will be processed beginning April of this year. Providers will not be able to get authorizations for services and accept them without knowing the process being described in this training.

 

Training sessions will be held in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston and Florence.  There will be (3) three 90 minute sessions held at each site.

  • Speech-Language Pathology Services Training for Private Rehabilitative, Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapists

     

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is offering workshops in regional locations across the state to provide an overview of program specific policies nad procedures, procedure codes, and managed care information for speech-language pathology services.

 

Regstration will begin at 9:30AM, and the training session will begin promptly at 10:00AM.
