SC Medicaid Web-based Claims Submission Tool
The South Carolina Medicaid Web-based Claims Submission Tool (Web Tool) is an online application for submitting HIPAA-compliant claims to South Carolina Medicaid. With the Web Tool, South Carolina providers can easily send CMS-1500, UB-04, and Dental claims and their associated adjustments to South Carolina Medicaid via the Internet. The Web Tool can also be used to retrieve accurate eligibility information from the Medicaid Eligibility Verification System (MEVS).
The SCMWBCST User Guide gives important basic information on how to use the Web Tool, while the CMS-1500, Dental and UB-04 Addenda describe specific information about each field for each claim type.

South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) publishes a quarterly newsletter that provides users with the latest information about the Web Tool. The newsletter focuses on specific topics that need clarification, and also includes information about revisions and enhancements to the Web Tool as they are developed.
